THANK YOU! This annoying search function that basically doesn’t work popped up on my PC – runnning XP a few weeks ago and it has been annoying me. I use Search alot for my work so Thank you Thank you Thank you for helping me to resolve this issue.

i hated that dog, and hate the new search, i hate google now as well, nothing does as it should for the user, the stupid techs do it as they would, google couldnt find its way out of a paper sack anymore,,,,and windows on smartphones hahahaha , whoever buys, deserves, vista? windows 7>??? why, why why
i hate things that i cannot get out of or that are forced on me that i purchased,, like books on smartphone, 22 apps run eating data , i cannot close, cannot be closed, what cheats,
this is forced and cannot be rid of except rooting

I was SO GRATEFUL for you tip (from 2006!!!) about how to turn off WDS for regular file exploring. I still love it for Outlook searches (across multiple mailboxes). However, it just started a new annoying trick, displaying a message about Outlook Express being able to compress messages to save space. I found this answer posted http://www.msoutlook.info/question/239 and followed the instructions to un-check Outlook Express in indexing options, but it’s already unchecked. I was wondering if you had any good tips on this one?
