Heh, ultimately it just boils down to a couple of nested ‘for’ loops! It picks a random position and tries to drop a polaroid there and iteratively moves it a bit if it’s too close to another polaroid until it’s happy. Then it moves onto the next one until it’s satisfied it’s filled the full picture. My image converter does the same thing too.
