Well if you're using my background switcher then you can add a Flickr search for 'landscapes scotland' or something like that. If you need more help then either email me directly or leave a post on my support forum.

I hope you partook in the usual Hogmanay festivities - e.g. copious amounts of alcohol. :-) Looks like you had a nice time nonetheless.

I can honestly say we liked having you at the Inn as well and I see you worked up the courage to get on the ice after all...

Kindest regards,

Sounds like it wasn't exactly the authentic experience you got there! I'd definitely recommend The Clachaig where we stayed - ticked all the boxes for a proper Hogmanay celebration!

My wife and I and friends spent the Hogmanay celebrations at the Caledonian Hotel in Fort William (not far from you), from 30th December to 2nd January.
The food and accommodation were excellent but what a disappoinment for Hogmanay.
Scottish music was non-existent, we have still not heard any bells and the entertainment at midnight consisted of a 'Auld landg Syne' sung without accompaniment, followed by a guy grimacing into a microphone and producing around 120 decibels, whilst still increasing the volume.
We finally gave up and went to bed. This was not a cheap deal either.
Does anyone know of a decent hotel where the festivities are honoured in the way we were taught, i.e some real dancing until about 1.00am?
