    Hello,

I have this problem with using "create a postcard pile" mode. The "use a random background picture" quality is horrible. My guess is that it takes the random picture and makes it into a postcard. Then, it enlarges it to fit the backround which causes the picture itself to become blurry and lower quality. Most of my pictures are 1280x1024 (which is the size of my monitor) if not larger. How do I make it so that instead of going from postcard size to full monitor size, it goes directly to the fit monitor size. In other words, how do I get the background picture to be of the same quality as the original (granted i am using a 1280x1024 picture which I will be).

    Thanks!!

To save repeating myself here's what's happening and the fix is also linked to (since you're using pictures sourced locally):

    Hope that helps!

Bingo! Thank you very much. That did the trick.

May I ask though, why 2000? What are the limits of this number and what does it represent?

2000 was just an example value, you can set it to anything you like. It represents the maximum size, in pixels, that the montage pictures are stored in the cache as - so set it to the largest dimension of your monitor and you'll not lose any quality.
