   My screen saver does not get activated anymore as well as my monitor does not go to sleep anymore. Last night I stopped the background switcher to see if everything would work as normal and it did. The screen saver activated and then the monitor went to sleep.

   Are you using Windows Vista by any chance? If you are and are using the background transition effect and set the switching interval to less than your screensaver timeout then your screensaver will never kick in. It's an unfortunate side-effect of the way I implemented the transition effect so you can either turn it off (from 'More Settings'), change the switching time or the screensaver timeout and things should go back to normal.

   I am using Vista. I will give this a shot.

   Funny thing though is that it works fine on my work computer. However, that is somewhat controlled by group policies so I'm guessing they will at some point override my individual settings.
