Hi John! I had a quick question about how your background switcher cycles through photos...

Does your program "remember" which photos it has picked and wont pick them again until it has picked all of them?

The other program I use to cycle desktop pictures picks a photo at random from the locations specified but doesnt remember which ones it has picked.

    Thanks

Ok, if you go to the 'Import/Export' section of 'More Settings' and click 'Open Folder' you'll see the settings file and a couple of others in there. One of them is called FolderShuffledPics.xml. This file is populated with pictures that have been shown from your local machine (folders and picture lists). When it shows a new picture it'll put the name into this file and once it's showed them all it'll clear out the list. This is how 'shuffle' works for local pictures.

Since keeping track of web-based pictures would just produce an endlessly large list this currently only works for locally sourced pictures.

You can disable the shuffle by following this post if you're interested.
